Support that strengthens the team. That is the idea behind WE LOVE FOOTBALL PLAYER SUPPORT. We work to make sure that all players in a team have the chance to join their team’s tournament and trip. Our goal is to give more children and young people the opportunity to experience the joy of being part of a team and a great tournament experience.
WE LOVE FOOTBALL offers
• Players can apply for financial support, anonymously, through their team’s responsible coach or leader, to take part in tournaments organised by WE LOVE FOOTBALL.
• More players and teams get the opportunity to take part in tournaments based on the team’s and club’s plans and ambitions.
• Financial support that helps teams participate in tournaments organised by WE LOVE FOOTBALL, sometimes in cooperation with other clubs.
How to apply
• The application is made separately from the team’s tournament registration, using the application form (PDF) available via this link ->
• The application is sent by email to info@welovefootball.se
• The application should be sent when the team registers for the tournament, or as soon as possible after registration.
• The application only covers player participation fees.
• If the application is approved, the team’s fee is reduced for the player(s) included in the application.
• We provide a decision within 14 working days.
Frequently asked questions
How is the application handled for the individual player?
• The application is completely anonymous for the player throughout the entire process and during the tournament. No names or personal details are shared at any time.
• The person submitting the application briefly explains the need for support.
• We assess each case based on the player’s and family’s situation, while also looking at the overall context. We also ask for a short description of how the team works to create a safe and positive team environment.
Who can apply for player support?
All teams participating in tournaments organised or co-organised by WE LOVE FOOTBALL can apply for financial support. The team must be registered and approved for the tournament.
When will we receive a decision?
Applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis. The earlier you apply after registering for the tournament, the sooner you will receive a decision. Our goal is to respond as soon as possible, and no later than 10 days after receiving the application.
Can we apply for support for more than one tournament?
Yes. Please contact info@welovefootball.se for more information about which tournaments are eligible for player support.
How are applications assessed?
Each application is reviewed individually. We look at the player’s and family’s needs, as well as the overall situation. Teams are asked to briefly describe how they work to ensure a safe and supportive team environment.
How much support can we apply for?
The support amount is always linked to the participation fee. Based on an overall assessment, teams may receive full or partial support for one or more players. You do not need to specify an amount — only the number of players.
